Housing Week scholarships

Housing Week scholarships are available for students who are living in public or community-managed housing, or at risk of homelessness and attending a Victorian Government school or a Victorian TAFE Institute. Students must have permanent residency in Australia.

The Department of Human Services is offering 70 Housing Week scholarships worth $1,000. The scholarships may be spent on any item that broadly assists educational achievement and school retention (e.g. books, computer equipment, other specialist equipment, disability aids, transport or child care).

Housing Week scholarships 2008 have closed. Education Foundation selection panel will meet in August and results will be sent out in September. The Minister of Housing will award scholarships to the successful candidates later in the year.

City Learning Scholarships

The City Learning Scholarships are available to students attending the City Centre Core or Worlds of Work (WOW) programs. Scholarships are offered to individual students to subsidise the cost of participation in the programs. These scholarships are provided by philanthropic individuals and organisations to provide educational opportunities to those students who may not otherwise be able to attend. Students must have permanent residency in Australia. The scholarships are not guaranteed and are dependent on the number of applications drawn from the scholarship funds.
