We create new approaches to learning and form powerful partnerships for investment in Australian schools. Our vision is that the public education system gives every young person the opportunity to achieve their potential.

What are we trying to achieve?

Our mission is to give young Australians an excellent education and equal access to opportunity. Our strategic priorities for 2008-2010 are to:

demonstrate new policy ideas and effective practice for education
create new learning opportunities for young people
provide new resources for public education

How will we do this?

We will achieve our goals by:

conducting research into what works in education
delivering programs that offer new learning experiences for young people
providing professional development for teachers in public schools
connecting schools with their communities
encouraging private investment in public education
raising awareness of the benefits of a strong public school system in Australia
advocating for change
